Look Directory Part Deux

Happy Saturday one and all.

So I have decided to start reviewing fashion sites I haven't tried before courtesy of Look magazine classifieds. Well, forget funky pigeon.com there's a new bird in town- Funkydivaa.com (yes with two A's) let's take a look shall we...

Initial thoughts on opening the page is it has a nice homepage, always a good a start but what are the clothes like, that's what I want to know!

Well there is one thing I do like... do any of you remember when ASOS began? I do, very well, it was well priced and the clothes where designed so you can wear the same looks as your favourite celebrities, I mean ASOS does stand for As Seen on Screen (or Stars depending on who you talk to). But now that is has got mahusive, it has steered away from copying the clothes of our beloved celebrities and turned into a mainstream retailer. Something I have often complained about because I would love a website where I could buy a replica of Rachel Bilson's wardrobe, who wouldn't? Well Funkydivaa appears to love that idea too and I am pleased to announce that they have a 'Celebrity Inspired' section - fabulous. From Cheryl Cole to none other than Kate Middleton the pretty copy cat dresses are amazing and around £18.99, perfect!

I have been on the site all of 5 minutes and there already happens to be something in my basket:

Only £18.99 and a lovely floral design that will be perfect for the office - after work drinks or my going for a meal.

I also really like this feather inspired dress that is only £14.99, but then I can never resist a feather print.

And if you are mad about polka dots and wanting to indulge in Autumn's colour of choice then this baby should be yours for all of £15.99

The tops, however, leave a lot to be desired. There are some standard cardigans for only £8 which is good but the tops focus heavily on the slogan tshirt style for my liking.

But wait... When I go to the playsuit section my faith is restored, check out these bad boys....

The black wrap over is £17.99 and the mocha drape is just £15.99. I personally love the black one but I am a sucker for chiffon and a wrap style!

Having checked through the rest of the website I can honestly say some work needs to be done on their trousers, coats and jackets and footwear.
I am also mildly insulted that a M/L size is a size 10-12 according to Funky Divaa, lets hope this changes when they start catering to larger sizes. According to Gok Wan this morning on How to Look Good Naked, the average UK woman is a size 16, which made me feel a bit better, but Funky Divaa appears to be isolating a large segment of the market!

On the plus side they do stock Barry M products, and who doesn't love a good Barry M splurge?

So I am off to purchase that dress, maybe the playsuit too, will let you know how they look when they come.

Have you ever shopped at Funky Divaa? How have you found it? If not, go have a look and let me know what you think :)!
